The philosophy of Health Tapestry is to provide caring, personal consultations and treatments in a calm, unhurried setting.
As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Swann focuses on the patient's health Ð what is right with the body Ð not just what is wrong. Then, he combines the wisdom and skill gained in more than 25 years of medical practice with the body's ability to heal itself and a sensible lifestyle, to improve the health of each patient.
Classical osteopathy utilizes manual medicine modalities. In addition, Dr. Swann utilizes a technique called Cranial Sacral Therapy, CST. This is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system, which is comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
In treating his patients, Dr. Swann weaves these techniques in with all other aspects of the physical exam, patient's history, radiologic and laboratory diagnosis, and educating and counseling patients on healthy lifestyle practices.
